Lazy KT Ranch is a progressive commercial Angus operation.
The ranch has used 100% Gardiner-influenced genetics since 2013. By using science, technology and best practice management, the ranch produces high-accuracy, value-added genetics. Method Genetics genomic data is used to identify superior genetics to continuously make documented progress within the herd. Genomic data is used to identify commercial bulls to develop and heifers for in-herd replacements. The heifers are synchronized and artificially inseminated (AI) in a time restricted breeding window. This practice continues with the entire mature cow herd. By doing this, low stress livestock handling is practiced leading to good dispositions across the entire herd at all ages.
They retain ownership on their home-raised cattle and offer a select group of replacement females and commercial bulls for sale private treaty. Open heifers are placed on feed and sold as high-quality Jackass Ridge Beef.
Genetic Offerings
Lazy KT Ranch has partnered with fellow beef producers in elite Angus bulls to accelerate genetic progress. Semen is marketed through Market Makers Beef, a division of Ashland Veterinary Center.
